It is my sad duty to report the passing of Craig Becker, father of Kayden '11 and Carleigh '14. He will lay in repose at the Nolan Taylor Howe Funeral Home in Northport on Sat 5/18 and Sun 5/19 with the funeral mass on Mon. 5/20.
May he rest in peace.
The Order of Events for Saturday's League Championships is now available under the OoE tab.
At Loucks, Mike Brunoforte clears 16'1" for a new PR and sets the meet record. Cameron Black wins the 110 Hurdles.
The guys "A" DMR team takes 4th in the Championship race while the "B" team wins the open DMR.
At the Massapequa Invitational, Chynna wins the 100m dash, setting a new meet record, she also takes 2nd in the 200m dash. Vicky Ciotti wins the 1500m run, and Jamie Kallipozis takes 2nd in the Pole Vault, clearing 9'6".
At the Frosh/Soph Intersectionals, the Sophs romp, winning by 43 pts. Tommy Louro wins the 800m run, in 1:56.7. This is a new meet record and earns Tommy MVP honors.
Frosh take 3rd.
Parents, I have set up a group page on Facebook named Blackwave Parents. This group is to insure that you see the information that I need to make sure you see. I will post that info on the website as well as the parent's page. So please request to be included as it is a closed group, only people associated with it will see the posts. Also, since I had trouble in the past with some of the kids gaining access to the page (long since corrected), I need to be able to see your information page to determine if you are indeed an adult family member. If I am unsure, I will NOT grant you access. DO NOT use your child's account as I will not grant them access. Please open your own account, even if you use it for nothing other than viewing the parent page. *Your kids can help you with setting it up :D*
I created a Twitter account for the Parents as well. Just click the link above to follow BlackwaveParent. I'll post the updates that are here as well as on the Facebook page, but it'll make it easier for those away from their computer.
